Yay for Target!

Ahh, shopping. If there's one thing to cure the Comment Crickets of the past two days' serious posts, it would be sharing some Target goodness, right?

Here was my haul from the dollar section. The class got me a Target gift card, which I forgot at home is definitely coming in handy!

I picked up 5 of these guys. So cute, and while they're only cardboard so they may not hold up forever, I think they will be perfect for storing enough current math manipulatives for each group. Oh, it's our money unit? One person from each group gets a rainbow box, and within a minute or two, every kid has their bag of plastic coins. (Time wasted on passing out manipulatives is a pet peeve of mine!)

These are back-to-back. Fun and summery (although even as someone who loves puns, "whaley" fun is pretty bad). I was planning on sending a letter to each of my students soon, and I'm excited to be able to slip this inside their letter as a little surprise!

Kids love reading non-fiction, and so for $1 apiece, I had to pick these up. I bought two of each so that I can put them in my buddy reading center, especially during specific science units.

I also picked up sets of money flashcards, pretty blue baskets, and a copy of The 3 Little Pigs.

It's a very good thing that Target and Dollar Tree are both across town from me. A very, very good thing!

This weekend, I get to share things that were actually sent to me for free, just because of blogging. I know, my mind is blown too. Aren't you curious? Here's a hint:

So excited!!!
